Stair Climbing Adventures: The Day I Discovered Fitness Was Already Happening
I recently had one of my favorite fitness adventures yet — and it didn’t happen on my treadmill.
Behind my apartment building, I discovered a beautiful stream tucked away in nature. One of the groundskeepers kindly gave me a private tour, and the path included something unexpected: stairs… lots of them.
The journey to the stream involved a rickety staircase with 37 steps down and 37 back up. Add that to my apartment routine — 8 flights of stairs (seven with 8 steps and one with 6) from the top floor to ground level and back — and suddenly this peaceful nature walk became a serious stair-climbing session.
What surprised me most?
1. I climbed 8 flights in under two minutes.
